Lewis Villines was born in Harrison, grew up in Northwest Arkansas, and received his high school diploma from Jasper High School in Jasper, Arkansas. He began his undergraduate studies at North Arkansas College in Harrison and transferred to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville at the beginning of his sophomore year where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education in 1993. Villines taught Agriculture Education and served as an FFA advisor for 14.5 years. He completed his Master of Science in School Leadership and Administration from University of Central Arkansas in 2006 and served as elementary principal at Flippin Elementary in Flippin, AR from 2008-2012. Dr. Villines accepted the high school principal’s position at Huntsville High School in 2012 while working on his Specialist degree in Educational Leadership through Harding University. He transitioned to Rogers High School in Rogers, AR in 2013 as assistant principal and was promoted to principal of Rogers High School in 2016. Dr. Villines received his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Harding University in 2018.

Dr. Villines was selected as Assistant Superintendent of Harrison Public Schools and began
serving July 1, 2022.

Dr. Villines and his wife Sandy have been married for 25 years and enjoy their son Weston who
is currently attending Arkansas Tech University.
