About Harrison Preschool
Operated by the Harrison School District, the Harrison Preschool provides a developmental program for children ages 3-5. Students attend on a full-time basis.
Our goals are:
- To provide an environment that enhances cultural diversity, social/emotional development, creative/aesthetic learning and cognitive development.
- To enhance the parent’s participation in positive interaction with their child through various learning activities.
- To prepare the child for success in public school.
- To collaborate with community agencies.
Located in the former Woodland Heighs Elementary School, the Harrison Preschool uses the Adventures in Learning curriculum, which is linked to the Arkansas Department of Education’s Frameworks for Early Childhood Education. Preschool extensions of the Harrison School District’s literacy and math programs are used to better prepare students for kindergarten.
The Harrison Preschool admits students of any race, color, creed, nationality or ethnic origin to all its rights, privileges and activities.
