School Choice Program
If you do not reside in the Harrison School District, it is still possible for your student to get his or her education here. The district is proud to participate in the Arkansas School Choice Program, which allows parents and guardians to easily enroll their students in a district other than the one in which they live.
Faced with this choice, more parents and guardians choose Harrison than any other nearby school system. We have more top-rated schools than any district within a 50-mile drive. From kindergarten through 12th grade, Harrison students learn a diverse, challenging curriculum from experienced and compassionate teachers who are committed to preparing students for success in a modern world.
Outside the classroom, Harrison students have access to a broad range of extracurricular activities, clubs and sports. This isn’t a place where your child will be a face in the crowd. This is a place they can excel.
We’re Building the Future: Every Learner, Every Day, Every Way — and we invite you to be a part of it. Whether your student will enter the workforce straight out of High School or pursue a collegiate degree, the Harrison School District's robust Career Action Plan program is designed to ensure students graduate ready for whatever their future holds.
Beginning at Harrison Middle School, students and parents meet regularly with trained career advisors who ensure all Harrison students identify a postgraduate plan, then select the courses and follow the path best suited for their individual aspirations.
Harrison High School graduates have attended more than 50 different colleges and universities in the past five years, ranging from Ivy League institutions to top trade schools. The Class of 2019 alone was awarded more than $3.8 million in scholarships to advance their education.
The High School also offers dedicated career and technical classes in agriculture, business, marketing and family and consumer sciences, giving workforce-bound students the foundations they need for success in these fields.
