The Harrison 7th Grade Shot Put and Discus team is proving that true champions are defined by more than just the distance of their throws.
This season, Remington Morgan, Gabryal Summerall, and Brant Blevins have combined a relentless work ethic with outstanding sportsmanship that’s turning heads across the conference. While putting in countless hours of practice and earning top rankings, these young men continue to put others first—no matter the rivalry or their place on the leaderboard.
That character was on full display at yesterday’s meet in Mountain Home. When they noticed a new competitor trying to learn shot put and discus without a coach, they didn’t hesitate to step in and help. From guiding warm-ups to offering technical advice, they made sure every athlete—teammate or opponent—had the chance to succeed.
Throughout the season, coaches and parents from other schools have praised their leadership and kindness. By putting sportsmanship above the scoreboard, these three Goblins are showing what it truly means to love the sport.
Their performances are impressive—but their character is unmatched.
