Students celebrate Yellow Day

May 9th is "Yellow Day" at Harrison Preschool! Each year, our Preschool team goes above and beyond - working so very hard to make this day special for all of our preschool students.

Students were greeted with happy faces and bright yellow hallways as they entered the preschool this morning. Cheerful music was playing in the hallways, and each student received a bright yellow t-shirt to wear with the message "Kindness begins with me". Activities to support Yellow Day are ongoing throughout the day, and smiles are abundant!

The event is inspired by the books "Yellow" and "Gigi's Yellow Garden" written by Adam Peterson, both of which all of the preschool have read together. The books are a tribute to Mr. Peterson's co-worker, a kindergarten teacher named Honor, whose birthday was May 9. The books beautifully emphasize the importance of kindness and making positive impacts in the lives of others.
