Skyline GT We are wrapping up our unit on the Middle Ages because next week starts our two weeks of Mad Scientist! Today we learned how the bubonic plague, or the Black Death, led to the end of this time period. It was spread by fleas on rats, wiped out 1/3 of the population, decreased trade, increased wages of workers that were spared from the disease, and decreased the power of feudalism. Brighton was patient zero today with Glo Germ powder unbeknownst to her classmates. At the end of class, we used a blacklight to see how the powder spread in just one hour. Don’t forget to wash your hands!

HPS After School Program Week 3 Recap: Down on the Farm theme! Students collected 220 food items for Share in Care!!! This was a great opportunity to help our community, and as an added reward for their efforts, they got to pie Mrs. Morris in the face! A challenging and fun Egg Drop Challenge was accepted by students with fun results! The challenge was won by k/1, 2nd, and 4th with a tie. Thank you Heather Jenkins and the Keidel family for your support! Students have been enjoying the beautiful weather and are loving the outside activities. This week, they played toilet tag, enjoyed played with Frisbees donated by North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, and played wiggle ball. The week wrapped up with a visit from Mr. Hale and HPS FFA student speaking about 4H and their animals! Our current week's them is all about Fall. Come join the fun!
