Harrison Middle School students had the opportunity to participate in career explorations through the Be Pro Be Proud program today. A custom-designed, military-grade, double-expandable semi trailer loaded with several hands-on simulators was parked at the middle school this morning. Students explored a variety of skilled trades including welding, truck driving, heavy equipment operation, diesel technician, lineman, and more.
The Be Pro Be Proud initiative is designed "to bring a new generation of pride, progress, and professionals to North America's skilled workforce".
HMS students enjoyed the hands-on experience and gained knowledge of trade professionals available to them.
