bus trip

Harrison High School Band and Choir members are enjoying an educational trip to Orlando Florida!

HHS Band and Choir students are participating as learners and performers in the Universal Studios Stars Program. On Sunday, students attended a music and sound design workshop, learning about the processes used when music and sound effects are added to movies. After completion of the workshop, the band played and the choir members sang to create a soundtrack for a scene from the movie Despicable Me. Technicians professionally mixed the recordings, then synchronized them with the movie scene.

Students also learned how dialogue and sound effects are created and added to movies - and HHS students then tried their skills as voice actors and created sound effects to be used in the movie scene.

Harrison Choir is under the direction of Molly Magouyrk.

Harrison Bands are under the direction of Josh Bradford.
