Bell to Bell

Per Arkansas state law (Act 122), every public school district – including Harrison Public Schools – will prohibit personal electronic devices during the entire school day (from the first bell to begin until the last bell to end the day).

Personal Devices included (but not limited to):

  • Cell Phones

  • Wireless earbuds

  • Digital media players

  • Portable game consoles

  • Digital video / audio recorders

  • Smart watches (and other Bluetooth-connected wearables)

Exceptions: Limited exceptions are allowed for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), extracurricular activities, and emergencies.

Harrison Schools Policy and Handbooks – Harrison School District is updating personal electronic device policies to comply with this law. Once finalized, our updated policies will be published in the Harrison Student Handbook and the handbook posted on our website before the start of the 2025–2026 school year.

Why This Change?

The goal of the Bell to Bell, No Cell Act is to reduce distractions and create a better learning environment for all students.
