Harrison schools nurses from across the district were on-site at Harrison Preschool this morning, conducting vision and hearing screenings for students.
Vision and hearing screenings are crucial for preschoolers' development and success in school. Undetected vision problems can impact a child's ability to read, write, and participate in classroom activities. Early intervention through screenings can help to correct these issues. Similarly, undiagnosed hearing loss can significantly hinder a child's speech and language development, social skills, and academic performance. By catching and addressing these sensory challenges early, we can ensure that every child has the best possible start to their educational journey and a chance to reach their full potential.
We appreciate our school nurses and their dedication to our students so much!
