Students at breakfast

It's an exciting time for our Harrison High School seniors! This morning, the HHS counseling team hosted a senior breakfast in the Mezzanine at the high school arena to help students get a great start to their final year.

Senior year is full of big decisions, and this event was designed to provide students with valuable information about their future paths. They learned about college and scholarship opportunities, options for trade schools and apprenticeships, and the importance of the FAFSA. Just a reminder, a team will be at Harrison High School on October 15 during parent-teacher conferences to help families complete their FAFSA.

A highlight of the morning was hearing from Dr. Heath Jones, owner of Harrison Animal Clinic, who shared a powerful message with the students about making good choices, putting in the work, and managing their opportunities and finances wisely.

The HHS Counseling Team would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success! We are grateful to First Community Bank for their generous donation of food and drinks, and to Nate Wilson for the delicious donuts. Thank you to the HHS food service team for supplying and preparing the bacon, and to Rick and Anne Milburn for bringing their Blackstones and helping with food preparations. We also greatly appreciate the assistance from the Harrison High School Agri team who also helped prepare and serve the breakfast.
