We're so incredibly proud of our Harrison kindergartners, who are hard at work on their journey toward becoming amazing writers and spellers! This month, they've been diligently practicing their skills by writing sentences dictated by their teachers.
This powerful exercise is absolutely packed with benefits for our young learners! Dictated sentences help children:
Develop Phonological Awareness: They learn to connect sounds to letters and understand how words are formed.
Strengthen Literacy Skills: They build confidence, grasp basic sentence structure (like capitalization and punctuation), and practice essential sight words and phonics.
Boost Motor Skills: Holding pencils and carefully forming letters is crucial for developing hand-eye coordination.
It's truly wonderful to see their concentration and dedication. Every letter formed and every word spelled is a step forward in their literacy journey. Their hard work is paying off, and we can't wait to see all the incredible stories and ideas they'll be able to express!
Take a look at some fantastic examples of their efforts – aren't they amazing?!
Way to go, Harrison Kindergartners! Keep up the incredible work!
