The Harrison Schools Gifted and Talented (GT) Program is once again proving that their 3D Print Shop is about more than just technology—it's about community investment.
Each year, the GT program operates a wonderful print shop, designing and selling 3D-printed items to the public. While the funds always support future student projects, this year, the high school GT members directed a portion of the profits toward a very special mission: Shopping for a Cause!
This wasn't just a simple shopping trip - it was a powerful lesson in real-world outreach. The students engaged in multiple brainstorming, planning, and budgeting sessions to maximize their impact. After careful considerations, they chose three local organizations to support:
Ozark Share and Care: Students purchased supplies for warming kits with essential items to help our local homeless population.
Ozark Humane Society: They purchased needed food and toys to comfort animals waiting for their forever homes.
The CALL in Boone & Newton Counties: Supplies focused on providing games and activities for children in foster care.
We are so proud of our students and their work and contributions! They used the entrepreneurship skills learned through the 3D Print Shop to demonstrate true leadership and heart for their community.
Projects like this are only possible because of the generous support of our community. Every purchase made from the GT 3D Print Shop directly enables these students to turn technology skills into meaningful action. Thank you for helping them make a difference!
