We are so proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of five Harrison Middle School Gifted and Talented (GT) students who have brought home top awards from the state-wide Arkansas Game and Fish Generation Conservation competition. These students showcased exceptional talent, dedication, and knowledge of conservation, competing against peers from across Arkansas.
The winners and their impressive projects are:
Students | Project Title | Award |
Finn Hudson & Clark Thompson | GIS Story Mapping | 1st Place |
Adalynn Bourquin | Journalism Conservation | 2nd Place |
Brighton Bardwell & Maddie Sagehorn | Nature Center Exhibit | 3rd Place |
The students, who are part of the GT program led by teacher Becca Jackson, were honored today with a heartfelt surprise celebration! Superintendent Dr. Stewart Pratt and Harrison Middle School Principal Mr. Fred Wilson, along with a large group of cheering family and friends, were on hand to present official certificates and announce their incredible victories. The celebration was complete with balloons and refreshments to mark the special occasion.
The celebration isn't over yet! These young conservationists have been invited to share their award-winning projects at the state level and will be officially honored on stage at the Generation Conservation summit in Hot Springs on November 6th.
We invite the entire Harrison community to check out the students' outstanding work and to join us in saying "GREAT JOB!"
