Harrison Schools is proud to join the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and districts across the country in celebrating National School Psychology Week (NSPW), running this year from November 3-7, 2025. This annual event is a crucial opportunity to recognize the profound contributions of school psychologists and the vital role they play in fostering thriving school communities.
We are incredibly fortunate to celebrate our very own dedicated professional, Dr. Stacy Moore, Harrison Schools' District School Psychologist. While many districts do not have a full-time school psychologist, Dr. Moore provides essential, comprehensive support to our students, staff, and families, embodying our ongoing commitment to student well-being and success.
This year's NSPW theme, "Finding Your Path," perfectly encapsulates the work Dr. Moore performs daily. School psychologists are instrumental in helping students, families, and school communities set and achieve their goals, navigate challenges, and build resilience.
Dr. Moore completes psychological educational evaluations, provides personalized professional programming recommendations and evaluations to support students, and offers crucial district training and support for teachers. Brenda Landrum, Assistant Director of Special Services, shared her appreciation: "This is Dr. Stacy Moore's third year with Harrison, and we feel so fortunate to have her."
Dr. Moore's expertise ensures that students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional hurdles receive the tailored support necessary to discover and succeed on their educational paths. Her work directly impacts student learning, mental health, and overall development, helping every child thrive in school, at home, and in life.
