Harrison Public Schools

Harrison Schools Board of Education members continually exemplify their dedication to the students and staff of our district, recently taking time out of their schedules to participate in intensive professional development. This commitment ensures our leaders remain equipped with the knowledge and strategies necessary to guide Harrison Schools toward a strong and successful future.

Board of Education members recently attended three hours of DESE-Approved Board Training at the Arkansas School Boards Association (ASBA) Region 2 meeting, hosted this year in Yellville.

This valuable training session provided an essential forum for connecting with fellow educational leaders from across the region. The agenda was specifically designed to foster continuous improvement, featuring: Perspectives from local elected representatives on key educational matters, and a panel of regional school board members who shared insights on the issues and unique challenges facing their respective districts.

By participating, our board members engaged in critical discussions to learn from one another, share experiences, and collaborate on effective solutions. The sessions focused on strengthening leadership skills and discussing current educational trends, reinforcing their ability to make informed decisions that directly benefit our students.

Attendance at rigorous, multi-hour training sessions like the ASBA Regional Meeting underscores the core belief that governs the Harrison Board of Education: that effective governance is a continuous process of learning and adaptation.

Harrison Schools thanks each member of our dedicated Board of Education for their unwavering service and commitment to student-focused leadership.
