Harrison Preschool students received a heartwarming surprise yesterday morning as they arrived at school. A group of gentlemen from our local Army National Guard unit volunteered their morning to welcome our youngest Goblins and start their day off on a positive note. As the students stepped out of their cars, they were met with big smiles, enthusiastic waves, and high-fives from these incredible men.
The Guard members didn't stop there—in a truly generous act of service to the community, these Guard members also donated new coats and toys to the school. These items will be distributed to students to ensure they have the necessary resources this season.
The Harrison School District extends its deepest gratitude to these dedicated members of the National Guard for volunteering their time and resources to bring joy and support to our youngest learners. Events like this make our students feel valued and also emphasizes the importance of community, kindness, and giving back.
