A cherished tradition is underway today! Several Harrison students are participating in our annual Christmas Shopping Spree, made possible by our dedicated team members and the generosity of the Harrison community.
This heartwarming event pairs younger students with members of our Harrison High School Goblin athletics teams (juniors and seniors) for a special morning of gift-shopping at Wal-Mart.
The day began with bus rides featuring some special holiday drivers dressed as Santa. Currently, each student is shopping with their assigned HHS athlete mentor. Harrison Schools employees are also present to assist with bagging, organizing, and preparing the students' selected gifts.
Upon completing their shopping, all participants will be transported back for a hot pizza lunch.
This annual event is a tremendous success year after year, thanks to the tireless efforts of Harrison Athletic Director, Chris Pratt, who organizes and directs the entire project. The event is fully funded through donations from our supportive community.
