In our region, we are fortunate to be surrounded by dedicated educators and schools that care deeply about students. We know that every family looks for something specific to spark their child’s interest and prepare them for the future.
At Harrison Schools, we believe that "excellence" isn't a single course, but a variety of pathways. Our goal is to offer a broad range of specialized opportunities so that every student can find the "right fit" for their own unique goals. Through the Arkansas School Choice program, these opportunities are available to families throughout our area.
Academic Achievement: By the Numbers
We are incredibly proud of our students' hard work and our teachers' dedication. Our commitment to high achievement is reflected in our recent results:
Statewide Recognition: Harrison Middle School was recently ranked 10th in the state out of over 600 middle schools by U.S. News & World Report.
A Culture of Completion: We maintain a 96% graduation rate, ensuring our students cross the finish line ready for the next step.
Leading the Way: In recent state assessments, Harrison students consistently outperformed state averages in English, Math, and Science, demonstrating a strong grasp of core academic foundations.
College Ready: With an average ACT score of 25 and a district-wide focus on concurrent credit, our graduates often enter college with a semester or more of credits already completed.
Specialized Pathways for Future Success
While we are proud of our academic standing, we believe our true strength lies in our innovation. We offer specialized programs that allow students to explore careers before they even graduate:
Pre-Educator "H2" Pathway: Our unique Teacher Education program is designed for students who feel called to the classroom. Recently, seven of our students earned their State Paraprofessional Certification, allowing them to work in education settings while still in high school.
Award-Winning CTE: Our Career and Technical Education programs are recognized statewide. From robotics, agriculture, and manufacturing to health professions and construction, we partner with the Northark Technical Center to provide industry-standard certifications.
Innovative Project-Based Learning: Beyond traditional lectures, our students engage in modern, collaborative projects—like our recent 4th-grade "Holiday Wax Museum" or our undefeated Quiz Bowl teams—that solve real-world problems and build leadership.
Joining the Goblin Family
Choosing a school is about more than a zip code; it’s about finding an environment where your student can thrive. Once a student is accepted under School Choice, they are a Harrison Goblin until they graduate—no annual re-application is necessary.
