HPS GT Teachers at Conference

As the 2026 Arkansans for Gifted and Talented Education (AGATE) conference concludes today in Rogers, the Harrison School District is celebrating the outstanding contributions of its own Gifted and Talented (GT) team.

All three of Harrison’s GT specialists were selected as featured presenters for the annual event, which brings together the state’s top educators and administrators to share best practices for supporting high-potential students.

The Harrison team shared a diverse range of expertise during their sessions, reflecting the high-level curriculum being taught in our district:

Kheidi Davis: In her state-level debut, Davis presented on the integration of coding within primary enrichment. Her session focused on giving K-3 students the logic and problem-solving tools they need to thrive in a digital world.

Becca Jackson: Jackson shared her immersive National Park curriculum. By blending research, conservation, and history, she demonstrated how to turn the majesty of the U.S. National Parks into a high-level academic journey for middle-grade students.

Kristin Motley: Motley led a high-impact session titled "From Filament to Fundraiser." She provided a blueprint for educators to launch student-run 3D print shops, teaching advanced tech skills while generating sustainable funds for classroom programs.

For the Harrison School District, having its entire GT team present at the state level is a significant achievement. AGATE is the leading advocacy organization for gifted education in Arkansas, and its annual conference is the primary hub for professional development in the field.

"It was an honor to present at AGATE as well as learn and collaborate with other leaders in gifted education in Arkansas!" said Kristin Motley, GT Coordinator.

The Harrison School District extends its congratulations to Mrs. Motley, Mrs. Jackson, and Ms. Davis for their leadership and dedication to providing our students with world-class educational opportunities.
