Today, we are happy to celebrate the official launch of Uniquely Made, an innovative, student-led enterprise operating out of Ms. Shelby Angelow’s Extended Resource classroom at Harrison Middle School. This program serves as a comprehensive "hands-on" learning laboratory, where students develop essential life and vocational skills through the creation and delivery of custom refreshments.
The "Uniquely Made" project is designed with inclusion, belonging, and purpose at its center. While students have already found success managing Friday popcorn sales for their peers, this new expansion allows them to serve middle school staff every Wednesday.
Through this business model, students are mastering critical competencies:
Vocational Responsibility: Students manage a weekly workflow, processing orders on Mondays for delivery on Wednesdays.
Financial Literacy: Participants handle currency and manage a flat-rate $2.00 pricing structure for all designs.
Interpersonal Communication: Students strengthen social interactions and build real-world confidence through face-to-face service.
Technical Execution: Students carefully assemble complex recipes, ranging from layered parfaits to custom-flavored "Dirty Sodas".

For a flat fee of $2.00, staff members can choose from a sophisticated menu of "uniquely made" designs:
Signature Dirty Sodas: Creative blends such as the Extended Resource Cherry Bomb (Dr. Pepper, cherry syrup, and sweet cream) and Mrs. Roberts’ Rockin’ Raspberry.
Nutritional Parfaits: Options including the Berry Blitz and Straw-bana Delight, featuring fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola.
Specialty Flavored Waters: Refreshing combinations like the Raspberry Respect Refresher and the In-Clu-fusion.
Artisan Touches: Staff may further customize their selections with weekly flavoring options or even add edible glitter to any creation.
This initiative reinforces the Harrison School District’s commitment to providing every child with a champion who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be. Every order placed by our staff is more than a transaction; it is a direct investment in a student’s journey toward independence and belonging.
