Harrison School District is accepting applications for a special education teacher position for the 2026-2027 school year. The position will be a full time (1.0 FTE) teaching position. Applicants must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:
Job Requirements: (Include, but not limited to)
● Create and deliver specialized instruction in accordance with CEC High Leverage Practices
● Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to achieve at high levels
● Provide quality special education services in inclusive environments
● Formulate positive relationships with parents, students, and staff
● Use progress monitoring data, building and state-level data, and behavior data to drive student programming
● Develop and maintain compliant due process paperwork
● Schedule and lead IEP meetings in accordance with Arkansas DESE rules and regulations
● Effectively use learning management systems and digital resources for the provision of digital learning
