Harrison School District is accepting applications for a 5-8 ALE teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position will be a full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching position. Primary duties will focus on alternative learning educational services. Applicants must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:
● create a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth
● create and deliver specialized instruction following ALE standards.
● establish effective rapport with pupils
● motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation, in accordance with each pupil’s ability
● provide quality ALE services in the learning environment
● formulate positive relationships with parents, students, and other staff members
● develop and maintain required paperwork
● be experienced in examining, interpreting, and using student assessment data
● demonstrate effective communication within the school community
● effectively use learning management systems and digital resources (Canvas, Google Classroom, etc.)
● attain or possess Google Level One Certification
