An indoor photo taken from the back of the Harrison School District professional development room. Approximately 15 teachers are seated at rows of long wooden tables, facing toward the front. Many have laptops, notebooks, and drinks open in front of them. At the front of the room, a female presenter in a blue shirt stands near a large black chalkboard. Two large projector screens on the wall display text and a timeline graphic titled "Lesson Context: Level 1, Module 2, Lesson 14." An American flag stands in the background corner.

It’s a busy week in Harrison School District! Even as we wrap up a fantastic school year with our students, our educators are already looking ahead and preparing for the future.

Today and tomorrow, our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade teachers are gathering in the Professional Development Center to dive headfirst into training for the new Arts and Letters curriculum. This innovative program will officially launch next school year, focusing heavily on building strong reading comprehension and fluency skills for our youngest Goblins.

To make sure our current classrooms don't miss a beat, half of our K-2 staff is training today, while the other half takes their turn tomorrow.

We are so proud of our teachers' flexibility, hard work, and constant dedication to bringing the absolute best instructional practices into our schools. Thank you for always putting our students first!
