We are excited to announce that the annual Reflections Contest is coming up! Students may enter their works of art in 6 different categories including: Visual Arts, Literature, Photography, Musical Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production. There is also a special category for students with disabilities. Entries must be related to the theme "Accepting Imperfections". Entry forms and guidelines for entries will be available for your student to pick up in your school office. Let's all encourage our talented Harrison students to start working on their entries for this year's Reflections Contest! DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: TUESDAY DECEMBER 3RD, 2024.

The counselors will be hosting the annual pancake breakfast for all seniors this Friday, September 20th. They will start serving around 7:45a.m. The program should conclude by 9:40. Attendance will be taken!
Come design your own pancakes and learn more about what to expect your senior year!

Today, we celebrate our 2024 Harrison seniors! Seniors were bussed to all HPS campuses today for "Senior Walks", an annual tradition to celebrate their upcoming graduation. We would like to invite everyone to the Harrison High School Bands Spring Concert tomorrow night (Tuesday, April 30) in the Harrison High School Performing Arts Center. The concert will begin at 6:30 pm with performances by the HHS Jazz Band, followed by the HHS Percussion Ensemble and closing with the HHS Concert Band. As always, the performances are free and open to the public. We hope you can join us for an evening of great music!

Harrison School District is accepting applications for a special education teacher position for the 2024-2025 school year. The position will be a full-time (1.0 FTE) teaching position. Applicants must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:
● Job Requirements: (Include, but not limited to)
o Create and deliver specialized instruction in accordance with CEC High Leverage
Practices
o Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to achieve at high levels
o Provide quality special education services in inclusive environments
o Formulate positive relationships with parents, students, and staff
o Use progress monitoring data, building and state-level data, and behavior data to drive student programming
o Develop and maintain compliant due process paperwork
o Schedule and lead IEP meetings in accordance with Arkansas DESE rules and
regulations
o Effectively use learning management systems and digital resources for the provision of digital learning
o Effectively manage paraprofessional(s) under your supervision
o Attain or possess Google Level One Certification

HHS junior John Bray attended U.S. Senator John Boozman's Congressional Youth Cabinet last Friday. Bray was elected as the leader of his research group to propose legislation to Senator Boozman.
