Mrs. Reading, THANK YOU for your service to our students and our staff and congratulations on your retirement. You will be missed!

Summer will be here soon, and HMS will be offering a great summer program - SURVIVOR - to our students free of charge. See the attached flyer for more information and how to sign up. If your student is recommended for summer school by their teacher, or you know that they need extra help, summer school is blended in with the summer program this year in the form of small group tutoring. If a teacher recommends your student for summer school, we will send home notification of this by May 16. The summer program will run from June 2 - June 26 Monday - Thursday and is completely free, including free breakfast, lunch, and snack.
Here is what our director of summer school, Tracie Thomas, says: Summer school will look a little different this year. We are combining our summer fun program with summer school. All students attending summer school in K-8th grade will need to sign up for the summer program offered at your school through the attached flyer QR code or by contacting Staci Tucker at stucker@hps.k12.ar.us. There will be a literacy and math teacher assigned to each school, and they will pull kids from the program for small group tutoring if they are in the summer school portion. The person who is directing the summer school portion is Tracie Thomas, who can be emailed at tthomas@hps.k12.ar.us to receive further information.
