Harrison High School Agriculture teachers recently sponsored a hands-on Fishing Derby and Aquatics Lab for our HMS 7th and 8th grade Agriculture students! 🎣

Students had the opportunity to dive into real-world science by exploring fish anatomy through dissections, studying macroinvertebrates to better understand stream health, and testing water quality.

This engaging experience helped students connect conservation practices with the importance of protecting our waterways and managing healthy fisheries. 🌊

Learning comes to life when students can explore, investigate, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways!

Cole Wray (Harrison Middle School) and Hadley Maybee (Green Forest) had an outstanding weekend competing in the National Youth Fishing Pro Team and National Youth Fishing Association tournaments at Lake of the Ozarks! 🎣

On Saturday, the duo brought in 13.80 lbs to earn an impressive 11th place finish out of 146 teams. They followed it up on Sunday with an even stronger performance, weighing 14.15 lbs and finishing 5th out of 186 teams!

EAST students Katelyn and Boone recently attended a student training at EAST HQ in Little Rock! 📸

During the session, professional photographer Alex Kent led “The Creative Eye,” helping students sharpen their skills in photography, creativity, and design while building on their natural talents.

A special highlight of the day was the opportunity to sit down and visit with EAST CEO Matt Dozier, who took time out of his busy schedule to connect with them.
