School Resource Officer Appreciation Day is held annually on February 15. Our SROs serve our schools in so many ways—as informal mentors, counselors, law educators, and law enforcement officers. They are truly valuable members of our school team.
We are especially thankful for Officer Jacob Mills, who works daily with our students using a special blend of compassion, kindness, and professionalism while proudly serving in his law enforcement role. He is an irreplaceable part of our school family.

Potential new Harrison Middle School Band members spent the morning with the high school band, getting a hands-on experience trying out different instruments! 🎺🥁🎷
Students tested their skills to help identify which instrument they are naturally best suited to play. This process matches each student’s natural ability with an instrument, setting them up for success from the very beginning. 🙌
By finding the right fit, we reduce frustration while learning and help build confidence — all while creating a stronger, more harmonious band program! 🎼✨

The EAST Project “Bundles of Joy” team — Kennady, Westyn, Kinsley, and Hayden — recently met with community partners to present their incredible service project! 🙌
Representatives from North Arkansas Regional Medical Center and The Boone County Leadership Institute were in attendance as students shared their vision to create special “goodie bags” for children visiting the ER.
These thoughtfully designed Bundles of Joy will include 3-D printed fidgets, coloring books and crayons, Cricut-printed stickers, and more. 🎨✨ Each bag is created to bring encouragement, comfort, and a little happiness during what can be a stressful time for young patients.

This team-building activity was all about fun, connection, and confidence. Students wrote fun facts about themselves, crumpled the paper into “snowballs,” and let the fun begin! When time was called, they opened the nearest snowball and met with that classmate to talk about what was written—then repeated the process with new partners.
This activity encourages students to interact with classmates they may not normally talk with and helps lower nerves when speaking in front of others, especially during future presentations. Learning, laughter, and leadership all rolled into one!
