Let’s cheer on our students as they show all they’ve learned—we know they will do amazing! 🎉📚

Thanks to their hard work and the support of the community, Mrs. Tucker’s classes exceeded their goal, raising over $1,400 during the event!
We are so proud of Mrs. Tucker and her students for organizing such a meaningful and impactful experience. Every dollar raised helps provide access to clean, safe water for communities in need—reducing long daily walks for water and improving health, education, and quality of life for children and families. 💧

Mrs. Mathis’s 5th Grade Math Class – Trailblazers Team turned the classroom into a full-on surgical unit while reviewing the order of operations! 🏥
Our student “surgeons” had to correctly evaluate expressions to save their patients’ lives—talk about high stakes! 😄 From solving step-by-step to double-checking their work, these Trailblazers proved they’ve got the skills to operate under pressure.
A huge THANK YOU to the NARMC surgical department for donating PPE (personal protective equipment) and helping us bring this hands-on learning experience to life! 👏

A huge thank you to Bree, Brynn, Haven, Lyndsey, and Lily for leading 5th Grade FCA! 🙌
Our students truly enjoyed their message about envy and jealousy, and the meaningful conversations it sparked. We appreciate these leaders for sharing their time, encouragement, and positive influence with our 5th graders!

Students put their bartering skills to the test as they worked to build complete wagons from limited supplies. Each team started with incomplete wagons and had to strategically trade parts—deciding the value of wheels, axles, covers, and more while negotiating with competing teams.
This hands-on activity challenged students to think critically, collaborate, and practice real-world decision-making. From tough trades to smart deals, these students truly embraced the art of bartering!
Great job to all of our Wagon Masters! 👏

📊 Current Standings:

Using marshmallows, Hershey chocolate bars, and tinfoil, students modeled how rocks change over time. By applying pressure with their hands and using heat from an iron and a toaster oven, they were able to recreate the three main types of rocks:
🪨 Sedimentary – pressing the materials together
🔥 Metamorphic – adding heat and pressure
🌋 Igneous – melting and cooling
This lab helped students see that:
➡️ Energy flows through the system (heat and pressure drive change)
➡️ Matter cycles (the same materials are reused and never lost)
Students discovered that the rock cycle has no true beginning or end—just continuous change!
Hands-on learning + real-world connections = a great day in science! 👏 #RockCycle #HandsOnLearning #7thGradeScience
