Harrison School District will be applying for the Nita M. Lowey The 21st Century Community learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant for an additional program located at Forest Heights Elementary School to serve students in Grades K-4 for the 2024-25 school year. If approved, this will be a five year grant.
The program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other education services to the families of participating children.

Primary duties will focus on secondary English educational services. Applicants must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
