Mr. Ditmanson’s science class explored the cell membrane in a fun, hands-on way — using bubbles!
Bubbles make a great model for studying cell membranes because their structure and behavior mimic key properties such as fluidity, flexibility, and self-repair.
What an awesome way to bring science to life! 💙💛

🙏💙 A Message from Our 7th Grade FCA 💙🙏
We had a wonderful 7th Grade FCA meeting! Angela H. shared an inspiring message about why we’re Christians, how someone can become one, and when it’s the right time to share our faith with others.
She expressed that this is a much-needed topic at HMS, and her words truly resonated with her peers.
We’re so proud of Angela for her courage, leadership, and strong faith. We hope her message encouraged and inspired others today.

🙏💙 FCA Spotlight
Arabella, a 7th grader at HMS, spoke at FCA about focusing on an “audience of One.” She reminded everyone that our true audience is God — the only One who truly matters.
She shared that God cares more about our faithfulness than our performance, and highlighted examples like Tim Tebow, who strive to live with purpose and faith no matter the stage or scoreboard.
We’re so proud of Arabella and her boldness in sharing this message!

📣 Fun at Air Break!
Our 5th/6th Grade Assistant Principal, Mr. Brewer, joined in on the fun today and helped capture a spirited cheer during Air Break! 🎉

HMS Cheer
Mrs. Bryant’s 7th-grade scientists set out to investigate whether air is matter. Using balloons and a triple-beam balance, students compared the mass of a deflated balloon to an inflated one.
They discovered that the inflated balloon weighed more — proving that air has mass and takes up space!
Hands-on experiments like this help students see science in action! 💙💛
